How To Use RSS Feeds at Squidoo Made Easy

How do you add an RSS feed to your Squidoo lens?

And why would you want to do that?

First off... WHAT IS RSS? - A simple intro.

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and you use it to add content from other websites to your lens, just by copying a single line of code.

If you can copy and paste, you can do this, okay?

The best thing about RSS is that the content is automatically updated on your lens whenever it changes at the other site.

WHY USE RSS FEEDS?

1. Fresh content is fed into your lens frequently, without you doing a thing.

2. Squidoo won't even list your lens until you have four or more modules. That is, 4 blocks of information on your page. Writing several short articles is a great way to help accomplishthat. Adding an RSS feed is easier still but why not do both?

WHERE DO YOU GET RSS FEEDS FROM?

Today almost every online publisher and blogger provides a feed so you can publish their stuff on your site. You would have seen those orange XML rectangles and the square orange RSS logos. The links under those symbols are RSS feeds.

If you're stuck and all you want is something relevant to your lens, then here is the code for a Yahoo News feed about Seth Godin, the creator of Squidoo:
http://jeremy.zawodny.com/ynews-search-rss.php?q=seth+godin&go=go

Just change [seth+godin] to [your+three+keywords] or [keyword]. Without the brackets, of course.
